Everyone plays a role in helping children have healthy and positive childhoods.
Positive Childhood Experiences occur when children experience safe, stable nurturing relationships and environments.

These amazing spellers are officially Semi-Finalist winners and are headed to the Davis School District Final Spelling Bee! 🐝✨
We couldn’t be prouder—congratulations and good luck at the district level!

America is turning 250 — and our students have something to say.
Davis School District is hosting Voices of a Nation: Student Perspectives on 250 Years of America, a districtwide speaking event aligned with America 250 Utah.
Students from every school and grade level are invited to apply to deliver an original speech about America’s past, present or future.
Selected students will receive mentorship and take the stage on May 4, 2026, at the Davis Instructional Services Center in Layton. The event will be professionally produced and live streamed for the community.
You don’t have to be famous to have something worth saying.
Take the mic. Share your idea. Be part of the story.
Applications due March 18.

This morning our awesome third‑grade explorers sent weather balloons soaring into the sky! ☁️🚀
There were giggles, guesses, and lots of “WOW!” as everyone watched the balloons float higher…and higher…and HIGHER! 🎯✨
Students became mini‑meteorologists, they talked about:
🌬️ What the wind might tell us
🌡️ How temperature changes way up high
💧 Why humidity helps forecast rain
Amazing job, third graders—you’re officially SKY SCIENTISTS! 🌤️🔭

We are so proud of Scout, one of our awesome second graders, who won a brand‑new scooter through the Walk & Roll program from Safe Routes Utah! 🛴✨
Scout’s commitment to walking and rolling to school is helping build healthier habits, a cleaner community, and a whole lot of fun along the way.
Way to go, Scout! Keep leading by example—you’re inspiring all of us! 💚👟

Our 6th graders stepped back in time today for an unforgettable Medieval Feast! From kings and queens to knights, jesters, and villagers, the creativity was incredible. 👑🛡️✨
Students enjoyed medieval‑style foods, and learned what life was like in a real Middle Ages celebration. The energy, the costumes, the laughter—pure joy!
Huge shoutout to our amazing teachers, parents, and volunteers for helping make this day truly legendary. 🌟
⚔️ Feast on, noble 6th graders! 🏰

We look forward to welcoming our newest learners and their families!

Our 5th & 6th grade Wonder Club jumped into STEM activities like total rockstars! 🚀 From building, testing, problem‑solving, laughing, creating, and (maybe) launching a few drones across the room… they are already having a legendary time.
The curiosity is high, the energy is awesome, and the creativity is off the charts. 💡🤩
This is going to be one AMAZING year of imagination, innovation, and “Whoa, did you see that?!” moments.
Stay tuned — these kids are just getting started! 🔧🧪🌟

Our students showed confidence, determination, and incredible spelling skills. We’re so proud of every participant for giving it their best and representing Kay’s Creek so well! Good luck to Audrey as she advances to the district competition.

Our kindergarteners had a 100-tastic day celebrating the 100th day of school! 🧠✨
Students counted by tens all the way to 100, explored science by counting how many licks it takes to reach the center of a sucker 🍭, weighed and measured different objects, and used math skills all day long to find creative ways to make it to 100! ⚖️📏
So much learning, curiosity, and fun packed into one special day. We are so proud of how far these little learners have come in just 100 days! 💛📚
